Monthly Themes
Your child looks forward to something new every single month
At Little Ducklings every month brings a brand new theme — personally designed by Miss Niha — woven through every activity, every busy book page, every sensory bin, every STEM project, and every craft. No two months are ever the same.

What makes our themes different
-
Every busy book page is personally designed by Miss Niha for that month — not bought, not downloaded, not recycled from last year
-
Every age group gets its own differentiated busy book — what a 9-month-old explores looks completely different from what a 4-year-old investigates
-
Same materials appear in the busy book, sensory bin, STEM activity and craft — same day, four different experiences, one deep concept
-
Themes connect to circle time — continents, countries, animals and cultures verbally recited through songs and chants every morning
-
Outdoor nature trails bring the monthly theme to life — children observe, collect and connect what they learn inside to the natural world outside
-
Monthly newsletter goes home at the end of every theme — what was taught, what your child worked toward, and how to extend the learning at home
Monthly portfolio — home every month
Completed busy book pages go home at the end of each month as a tangible portfolio of your child's learning and growth. Parents see exactly what was taught, what their child mastered, and how far they have come. No other program in Howard County sends home a personally designed monthly learning portfolio for every child.
"No center anywhere designs their own monthly curriculum, teaches it themselves, and sends it home as a personal portfolio for every child every month. That is what we do." — Niharika Reddy, ECE Specialist
